Here is a guide to some of my favorite gear to use while climbing

Roped Climbing

Harness: Petzl Luna

  • Lightweight
  • Comfortable
  • Good gear loops
  • Adjustable leg loops





Rope: Sterling Velocity 9.8

  • Great feel, perfect stiffness/flexibility
  • Long lasting
  • Bi-color
  • Feeds well





Belay device: Petzl Gri-Gri
  • Haven't had much chance to try the Gri-Gri 2, but the original is one of my favorite pieces of gear
  • I like to use it with my 9.8 rope
  • Love everything about it

Belay/Rapel device: Black Diamond ATC Guide
  • Light weight
  • Smooth rapel
  • Adjustable friction
  • Guide mode makes using two ropes easy and allows you to belay off anchor

Helmet: Black Diamond Half Dome
  • Currently in the market for a lighter helmet, maybe the new version of this one
  • Comfortable, adjustable, keeps your dome safe!


Cams: Black Diamond Camalots C4 and C3s

  • The best cams ever!




 Rope bag: Metolius Rope Ranger

  • Best rope bag I've seen
  • Two straps make a nice backpack
  • Nice, large fold out tarp
  • Beefy buckles

Shoe: La Sportiva Women's Miura

  • Favorite all around shoe
  • Comfortable, stiff enough for all day use/crack climbing
  • Good edge 
  • Narrow toe for thin cracks

Bouldering

Shoe: La Sportiva Katana
  • Good edge
  • Right amount of flex
  • Comfortable








Pad: Asana Disturbed Pad (customized!)

  • Colorful!
  • Light weight
  • Perfect amount of stiff and soft for good landings
  • Cool little pouch to hold things

Camera: Sony Bloggie Touch
  • I love this little camera!
  • Super light weight and compact
  • Takes HD video
  • Allows you to take photos while taking video
